Etienne Seignovert

Etienne Seignovert is a young winemaker from Ardèche, located in Saint-Barthélemy-Le-Plain in the Doux valley, not far from Tain l'Hermitage. He comes from a family of restauranteurs, but decided to learn making wine. He's done practical training in the vineyards and cellar with several wineries, like Domaine Gouffier in Burgundy, Mas des Agrunelles and Château Revelette in South of France. Then he finally settled at the old family farm, producing his first vintage in 2020.

Etienne's idea is to build polyculture and agroforestry since the plot is surrounded by trees and hedges and is perfect to promote biodiversity. He revived a small parcel of old Gamay vines he inherited. He also owns wasteland right next to it which he is going to plant with Gamay as well. However, at the moment, Etienne has only tiny plot that he farms, but for the most part he sources grapes from friends and renowned vintners in St. Joseph, Ardèche and even Savoie (where he got Jacquere from Domaine Blard to blend with Marsanne from Rhône Valley). All grapes are farmed according to organic principles.

Consequently, this is a tiny production of Vin de France and Saint-Joseph in which Etienne seeks the most natural expression using minimal intervention, with only a pinch of sulfur "when needed" for some wines. If you were lucky, you've tried his colab wines that he made with our super star Thibaud Capellaro, but that was just a teaser.

Commitment to Craft Wine

Commitment to Craft Wine

We are dedicated to craft wine. Real wine produced by real people in limited quantity, from the new generation of natural winemakers to the classic high-end Burgundians. Sorry, no industrial wine here!

Selling Wine is an Art, Just Like Making It

Selling Wine is an Art, Just Like Making It

We are not just another Direct-to-Consumer website. Actually, we don't sell directly to consumers at all, as we believe selling wine is an art. We don't want to replace it, rather just make it easier, so you can focus on the art.

The Trade Should Be as Liquid as Wine

The Trade Should Be as Liquid as Wine

We believe the trade should be as fluid as wine. Processes, information and transactions should flow as a fine wine, in and out of a Zalto glass. That's where a Digital Platform can help.

Winemakers First, Always

Winemakers First, Always

For the wine market to be healthy, firstly it must take care of the producers. We believe that the trade should be fair and transparent, across all channels, from the producer to the final consumer.
